A useful notebook makes room for the person holding it. Sometimes that means more space. Sometimes it means putting a control on the other side.

Left side or right side

Nostella includes a sidebar-side preference for tablet and open, wide layouts. You can place that navigation on the left or right to suit the way you hold and use your device.

This preference arranges the wide-layout sidebar. It does not mirror every screen or move every tool in the app. Compact phone layouts and book-fold list-and-preview layouts follow their own space requirements.

A little less reaching

A control that is comfortable for one person may feel inconvenient for another. Giving the sidebar a choice of sides keeps the page familiar while letting you decide where navigation belongs.

Your page stays yours

Changing the arrangement should not change the work. Notes, sketches, and the character keep their familiar visual language whichever side you choose.
